Alight, formerly the American Refugee Committee, is a global humanitarian organization dedicated to supporting displaced and marginalized communities. Founded in Chicago in 1979, Alight brings 45+ years of experience working in some of the world’s most complex crises, partnering directly with communities to restore dignity, strengthen resilience, and create opportunity.
Operating in Pakistan since 2002 under an MoU with the Government of Pakistan, Alight has built a 23-year legacy of impactful programming across education, skills development, healthcare, nutrition, and emergency response. Today, it stands among the leading international humanitarian organizations serving communities across all provinces and regions of Pakistan.
